Sustainability Committee

On April 3, 2025, Karshi State University formally established a Sustainability Committee in accordance with a decision of the University Committee to coordinate and strengthen institutional efforts related to sustainable development. The committee serves as the central body responsible for advancing sustainability initiatives across academic, research, and operational activities of the university.

The committee oversees the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, promotes environmentally responsible practices, and supports the integration of sustainability principles into teaching, research, campus operations, and community engagement activities. It also facilitates cooperation between academic departments, research laboratories, and administrative units to ensure the effective implementation of sustainability initiatives.

Dedicated staff members have been appointed to coordinate and support these activities. Farrukh Aminov serves as the Executive Secretary of the Sustainability Committee and is responsible for coordinating sustainability strategies and monitoring institutional sustainability initiatives. Firuza Davronova serves as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Sustainability Committee and supports the implementation of sustainability programs while facilitating collaboration among university departments and research centers.

Through this governance structure, the university ensures institutional leadership, accountability, and continuous progress in advancing sustainable development across the campus community.

4. Oybek Chuliyevich Kuziyev - Executive director of the committee (First Vice-Rector for Youth affairs and spiritual-educational work)
5. Xurshid G'aybullayevich Djurayev - Executive director of the committee (Vice-Rector for Finance and economic affairs)
6. Farrukh Aminov - Executive secretary of the committee (specialist of the International rankings department)
7. Firuza Davronova - Deputy executive secretary of the committee (International rankings department staff member)
8. Head of the International department - responsible for organizing sustainability-related activities within the framework of international cooperation and preparing relevant reports.
9. Head of the Trade union - responsible for implementing measures aimed at protecting the rights of students and staff, conducting statistical analyses, and preparing relevant reports.
10. Head of the department for Spiritual and educational work - responsible for organizing educational and awareness activities related to sustainability and preparing analytical reports.
11. Head of the Planning and finance department - responsible for implementing financial measures related to sustainability and preparing analytical reports.
12. Head of the Human resources department - responsible for implementing personnel policies related to sustainability and preparing analytical reports.
13. Head of the Academic affairs and registrar office - responsible for conducting statistical analyses related to sustainability and preparing relevant reports.
14. Head of the Women's affairs and psychological counseling center - responsible for organizing activities related to women's rights and sustainability and preparing analytical reports.
15. Head of the Anti-corruption department - responsible for implementing anti-corruption activities related to sustainability and preparing analytical reports.

17. Head of the Information service department - responsible for managing the university's sustainability website, social media activities, and reporting on the Sustainable development goals.
18. Specialist for International publications - responsible for encouraging faculty members to publish scientific articles related to sustainability.
