"YASHIL ENERGETIKLAR" – STUDENTS PROMOTING THE TRANSITION TO RENEWABLE ENERGY
Students of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Karshi State University have established a student initiative group called "Yashil energetiklar" to promote the transition to renewable energy sources among local communities. The group actively works to raise public awareness of the importance of transitioning from conventional energy sources to clean and renewable alternatives. Through community outreach activities, discussions and awareness campaigns, students encourage local residents to learn about and support the wider adoption of solar, wind and other renewable energy technologies. The initiative focuses on explaining the environmental and economic benefits of renewable energy, including reducing dependence on conventional energy sources, lowering greenhouse gas emissions and supporting a more sustainable energy future.
By engaging directly with local communities, the "Green Energy Advocates" group seeks to strengthen public support for the transition towards 100% renewable energy and encourage collective responsibility for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Promoting the transition to 100% renewable energy in Mahallot neighborhood, Karshi City
A first-year Master's student specializing in Renewable Energy Sources at Karshi State University organized an educational seminar and awareness-raising session for local residents in Mahallot neighborhood, Karshi City. The seminar focused on explaining the concept of renewable energy, its main sources and its environmental, economic and social benefits. Participants were introduced to renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind and other clean energy sources, and learned about their role in reducing dependence on conventional energy resources and minimizing environmental impacts. During the session, the Master's student emphasized the importance of transitioning towards 100% renewable energy and encouraged local residents to support the wider adoption of clean energy solutions. The discussion highlighted the need for collective public commitment and active community participation in building a sustainable energy future.
