Enlightenment Against Ignorance
On October 4 2024, a roundtable discussion titled “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” was organized with the active participation of students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, along with tutors from the Youth Affairs Department. The event served as an important platform for open dialogue and intellectual exchange, focusing on raising awareness among young people about the importance of knowledge, critical thinking, and moral values in today’s rapidly changing world. During the discussion, insightful presentations were delivered by R. Boymatov, a lecturer from the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, as well as vice-deans A. Jo‘rayev and H. Murodov. Their speeches addressed a wide range of pressing issues, including potential threats to human spirituality, the challenges of preserving national identity in the context of globalization, and the vital role of youth in shaping the future of society. Special attention was given to the idea that in an era of increasing global interconnectedness, maintaining cultural values and moral integrity has become more important than ever. The speakers emphasized that ignorance can only be overcome through enlightenment, education, and continuous self-development. Furthermore, it was highlighted that the development of spirituality and moral consciousness is a key factor in ensuring economic growth, social harmony, and political stability within society. A spiritually mature and well-educated generation is essential for the sustainable progress and prosperity of any nation. The roundtable concluded with engaging discussions, exchange of ideas, and a shared commitment among participants to contribute positively to society through knowledge, awareness, and active citizenship.
